I’m a mother, a wife, a teacher, a believer living in the greater Boston area.  This is my first foray into the wonderful world of blogging.

My blog is about my belief in a higher power of some variety and how that impacts my life but doesn’t transform who I am.  That is, even though I believe in God (but not necessarily a middle-aged white man with a beard and long, flowing robes) and that belief is part of my decision-making process; I’m still a sarcastic, sometimes petty, often imperfect, snarky, red wine drinking, pop culture consuming, fruit fly/fairy princess, theatre geek.

My blog isn’t a “mommy blog.”  Although I will write about my kids (who are, of course, fabulous), they are not the focus.  There’s plenty of great mommy bloggers, but that’s not what I am aspiring to here.  At some point, I might post a list of my favorite bloggers, child-focused and otherwise, but the list isn’t that extensive at this point.

This page (heck, this whole blog) is currently under construction and is subject to revision whenever I feel like it.  At some point, there will be an opportunity to contact me, but that point is not today.

AFTHOTW is updated four times a week:  general ramblings on Tuesdays and Thursdays, a menu plan for the week on Mondays and my wasted food for the week on Fridays.  I don’t post on Wednesdays, weekends or holidays, unless I feel like it.  The post way to know when there is something new here is to subscribe.
